SIBX (Sodium Isobutyl Xanthate) is one of the most widely used sulfide flotation collectors globally, known for its strong collecting power, fast adsorption, and excellent performance across copper, lead, zinc, and polymetallic sulfide ores.
SIBX provides a balanced combination of strength and selectivity, making it suitable for rougher, scavenger, and cleaner flotation stages in both base-metal and precious-metal circuits.

As a mid-strength xanthate, SIBX is particularly effective for chalcopyrite, sphalerite (after activation), galena, and various complex sulfide minerals. It offers enhanced recovery versus SIPX while maintaining better selectivity than stronger xanthates such as PAX.
